10 x 150 gm of HIGH QUALITY OOLONG TEA DIRECTLY FROM THE FARM AND PACKED IN BOXES OR TINSShan Lin Xi Oolong Tea (杉林溪茶), or Wu-long, is a gentle yellow tea producing a full, smooth flavour with a pleasant after-taste that lingers lightly. This High Mountain Oolong tea comes directly from a small family tea farm in Lu-gu, in the county of Nantou, in the central mountains of Taiwan. This farm is the home of a master tea farmer who has recently produced a much sought after prize winning Oolong. The village of Lu-gu borders a beautiful array of cedar forests and running brooks in an area that is ideal for tea production. Lu-gu enjoys a moderate temperature and pleasant, cool air; maintaining a spring-like climate all year long, with sun showing only briefly. Mist covers the hills and tea fields for most of the time. These conditions ensure that the tea will grow slowly and produce a strong plant with leaves that are robust, thick and soft; which inevitably results in a superior tea quality Enjoy the delicate aroma and relax with the smooth, full taste. INFORMATION: Oolong teas are processed in a similar way to black teas, but given a shorter withering time, a light roll and then allowed to ferment only until the edges of the leaf start to turn brown. The tea is then rapidly dried, so stopping the fermentation process and capturing the characteristic flavors associated with oolong tea. In Taiwan, making Oolong tea is considered an art form which is passed from generation to generation. Preparation: for best results, use spring water or mineral water that has just come to a boil (wait a moment and then pour over the leaves). Number of infusions: 2-3 teaspoons in 4-6 ounces of water (depending on your taste). Brewed color: Honey-yellow. Flavor: mellow, ever so slightly sweet. Aftertaste: Pleasant, lingering.
